FENCE PANELS:
|
- We use only slow-growth Canadian softwoods in the manufacture of our fence panels. The stability of
this wood makes for a fence panel that is far less likely to twist, warp and split. This is a real benefit
to the end user, as these fence panels will hold their shape and continue to look great for years to come.
- The lumber that goes into these fence panels meets or exceeds construction standards in strength and
durability. These fence panels are built to last.
- Only corrosion-resistant fasteners are used in the assembly of the panels. This ensures a long service
life and helps to reduce staining the fence panel from bleeding of rusting fasteners.
- Our finished panels are packaged in lifts which are covered with a top-sheet only to protect against weathering.
- The natural cedar colour of our pre-stained panels is a factory applied process, so the rich colour will
last longer than brush applied stain. The stain is also applied on all four sides of the lumber for added
protection and premium appearance.
- Our ACQ pressure treated fence panels are processed in a vacuum cylinder, where preservatives are locked
into the wood. The result is long-term decay protection and a longer service life than fence panels that are
untreated or simply painted.

CEDARTONE PRESSURE TREATED LUMBER:
|
- We purchase from selected mills the best quality #2 and better lumber available. We then further grade
this lumber to remove defects before staining and pressure treating. The end result is a lumber product with
a high appearance quality, as all pieces will have one good face and two good edges.
- A chemical reaction between the stain and the ACQ preservative occurs during the treating process. This
reaction and the pressure of treating locks the stain into the wood, resulting in very high colour retention.
The rich colour will last two to three years on deck surfaces and as long as seven years on vertical surfaces.
- A WeatherSHIELD wax is also applied to the surfaces of the lumber during the treating process. This water
repellent adds to the longevity of Cedartone, as it helps to correct some of the natural checking and twisting
tendencies of lumber.
- Our wide product selection makes it possible to be able to choose Cedartone Pressure Treated Lumber for a
wide variety of outdoor building projects.

POSTS AND POLES:
|
- These CCA, or optional ACQ, treated posts and poles require no maintenance such as painting or staining. This means that you
can set them and forget them. They will last five to ten times longer than untreated wood.
- The wide variety of dimensions and lengths will satisfy a multitude of fencing and building projects.
- In addition to lower maintenance, our treated posts also have a lower replacement cost than metal posts, so
every time that you use them, you are saving money.
- Due to their ease of workability without special tools required, you will find our posts and poles to be more
flexible and adaptable to terrain and other installation requirements.
- These posts have a clean and non-oily surface in addition to being odourless. This means that they are suitable
for use around livestock, plants and humans.
- You will also find these posts and poles to be non-corrosive to most metal fasteners, which will add up to
even further savings in maintenance and other related costs.
- Because of the increased depth of penetration afforded by the pressure treating process, these poles will last
up to 30 years.
